Entry Requirements:

• SC/GCE “O” level with passes in at least 5 subjects
• Applicants with a minimum of 3 A levels or 2 A Levels + 2 AS Levels will be considered.

Tuition Fees: Vary according to which university you want to apply.

Accommodation:

The international student living in china can live either in the university’s hotel, dormitory or can also live off campus with the permission of University. Dormitories on campus often provide facilities that you may need, including lockers, bedding, air conditioner, TV sets, inexpensive or even free internet access, separate toilet, shower facilities, hot water etc.., as well as communal kitchens, refrigerators and so on. The Northern Universities also cater heaters during winter.

Dormitories may be single room, double room or deluxe room. You may also request for your own roommate if you want. The dormitory fee may vary from RMB 25 up to RMB 150 per day, it differs from universities and cities.

Living Expenses:

Students’ daily living expenses depend upon their needs and lifestyle they choose. An estimated cost of accommodation, food, book, clothes, entertainment, local travel, and other expenses are approximately RMB 700 to RMB 1, 000 per month (USD $ 200-USD $ 280) for a single student.

Self-Financing Students

More and more students consider tertiary level education in China nowadays. Students are advised to apply directly to the Chinese Universities for enrolment.

Scholarships Offered by the People’s Republic of China

Candidates applying for scholarship from the People’s Republic of china are advised to choose fields of study which will be in demand in Mauritius. They may also choose courses that appear on the List of Indicative Priority Fields of study which may be consulted at the Scholarships Section of the Ministry or on the following website: http://ministry-education.gov.mu

Qualifications Required:

(A) Undergraduate Studies

(i) SC/GCE “O” level with passes in at least 5 subjects including language at one and same sitting;

(ii) HSC/GCE “A” level in 3 subjects obtained at one and same sitting.


(B) Master’s degree

(i) SC/GCE “O” level with passes in at least 5 subjects including language at one and same sitting;

(ii) HSC/GCE “A” level in 3 subjects obtained at one and same sitting.

(iii) A minimum standard of Upper Second Class Honours Bachelor’s degree.

Age Limit:

Candidates should not have reached 25 years of age for undergraduate studies and 35 years of age for post graduate studies by the closing date.
